Cooking with Diabetes: A Recipe for Success
Course Description:
There are 23.6 million children and adults in the United States who have diabetes. While an estimated 17.9 million have been diagnosed with diabetes, unfortunately, 5.7 million people (or nearly one quarter) are unaware that they have the disease. In this class, we will talk about the biological effect of type 1 and 2 diabetes, review the glycemic index, review diabetic friendly meal plans and sweeteners and taste diabetic friendly recipes. *Food tasting included.

*Please register for Nutrition Classes at least 24-hours in advance. This class is also offered on 2/12 from 1:00-3:00 pm. To register for the 1/12 class, select the date from the calendar and follow the instructions.
