Stress Release through Movement Therapy
Course Description:
Do you have stress that you carry around like a loaded backpack on your shoulders? Well, it is time to shake it off with Stress Release through Movement Therapy! Dance/Movement therapy will effect changes in your feelings, cognition, physical functioning, and behavior. It can be a powerful tool for stress management and the prevention of physical and mental health problems. This class will guide you through free movement exercises and stretches that facilitate flexibility and coordination. Whether your job provides you with limited opportunities for physical activity or you are constantly on the go with little to no personal down-time to unwind, this class would be the one for you. Activities include: fluid stretching, low-impact movements (with level variations), and centering, stabilizing, & breathing exercises.
Special Notes:
This class is also offered on Wednesday 5/20 from 10:00-11:00pm. To register for the 5/20 class, choose the date from the calendar and follow the instructions.
