Yoga: Svaroopa
Course Description:
In Svaroopa (Svah-roo-pah) Yoga, each pose, or angle is approached in a way that allows students, with practice, to release the muscles that attach to the spine. This release begins a process of healing in the entire body/mind and opens a pathway to finding the deeper dimension of being; the true meaning of the practice (of yoga) in mind/body/spirit. Students suffering from pain will experience relief as you open your body and breath. This class is offered Mondays 7:30pm-8:30pm, Tuesdays 9:00am-10:00am, Wednesdays 9:00am-10:00am and Saturdays 10:00am-11:30am (NO CLASS Saturday, November 7th and November 21st) Investment: $15 Drop-in Monthly rates: $49 for one yoga class per week; $79 for two classes per week Packages: $135 for 11 classes; $240 for 22 classes; $320 for 33 classes

Class Faculty Detail:

Julie is a Hatha Yoga Svaroopa® Style Yoga instructor (Member SATYA - Svaroopa® Association of Teachers Yoga Association) and Embodyment® Yoga therapist and is currently working toward her second certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher. Julie is also a Reiki practitioner. After spending many years as a long distance runner and experiencing knee injuries, Julie began exploring other options to keep her body in shape. She soon discovered Svaroopa® Yoga and immediately embraced its subtle approach of “undoing” the stress and related tensions which were beginning to take a toll on her life. Julie’s journey into Svaroopa® Yoga has been life-changing and has helped her heal from both fibromyalgia and migraine headaches. She acknowledges that becoming a Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher really taught her about body awareness in a way that running never could. She loves to have the opportunity to share and teach others a practice that has helped her out in so many ways. Namaste
