Yoga Beginner(Yoga I)
Course Description:
Yoga is an ancient practice designed to prepare the body for meditation. The practice of yoga leads to improved health, increased energy levels, physical and mental stress reduction and an overall increase in self-awareness, self-confidence and well-being. Yoga Basics (Yoga I) is an introductory class. In this introduction to classic yoga, you will learn some basic yoga poses, or asanas, along with breathing and relaxation techniques. You will learn to determine your body’s range of motion and develop the skill of honoring your body by working within that range. Yoga I is appropriate for all experience levels, but is recommended for students who are new to yoga or those with physical restrictions due to health concerns including injury, illness or pregnancy.
