Programs: Yoga, Fitness & Movement
Bodywork is one of the oldest forms of medicine. It is based on the idea that muscle tension and improper alignment may cause or contribute to physical, mental and spiritual imbalances. This practice permits the release of toxic habits and ideations by enabling healing through movement.
Yoga, which means "to unite" in Sanskrit, promotes awareness of the body's physical and mental partnership. It is a holistic approach that intimately relates the mind, body, breath and spirit as a working totality. Understanding their correlation leads to a connection with universal life energy. The clarity that follows this practice paves the path towards emotional, physical and spiritual development.
Rejuvenation through bodywork and movement requires patience, continuous exploration, and ongoing application. Therefore, the class setting is an ideal environment for providing a support system wherein we can break old patterns and create healthier life choices that incorporate our new-found knowledge.
The Open Mind Center offers many different types of bodywork services such as movement and bodywork classes including Yoga, Tai Chi and Qigong.
